Donald Trump asked Iran to negotiate peace. He warned them to get back to the table.
Instead, Iran was belligerent and refused to give up their nuclear program or to stop threatening the United States and Israel. The Doomsday Clock was at 89 seconds and counting, moving closer to nuclear war and Iran was the greatest threat.
They played a game of chicken and they lost.
Just before 8pm ET, Donald Trump announced that the United States had hit Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Trump addressed the American people at 10pm ET on Saturday night, see the video above, and half an hour later, warned Iran not to retaliate against the United States.

Of course, Iran had already threatened retaliation by then. Their state television showing a map of American bases in the Middle East and saying they would pay the price.
For the mullahs in the Islamic Republic of Iran to make such a foolish move could see the entire region point their fire at Iran. The Americans either have bases or bases where they are stationed in Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Turkey.
If Iran targets bases in those countries, there will be no end of pain that the mullahs in Iran will feel.
